The Sixth Beneath The Roots

Some doors should never open. Some lives are changed simply because someone chose to help. Gedrick has devoted his life to noticing the people others do not have time to see. By day, he helps those whose memories are beginning to disappear. By night, he tries to convince himself—and everyone around him—that his body does not hurt as much as it does. Then his dog leads him to an injured creature in a Swedish forest. Gedrick does what he always does. He helps first. Thinks later. But the creature does not belong to his world. When it begins to long for home, Gedrick follows it beyond the familiar paths and into a place where he should never have been—a hidden world of living roots, ancient magic, and peoples remembered only through legends. He leaves behind a life where someone is still waiting for him to come home. Far away, beneath a kingdom carried by enormous roots, Crown Prince Eyron has begun searching for elves who vanished without a trace. Roads point toward places that do not exist. Voices speak without bodies. Something in the forest has learned to call their names. As two worlds draw closer, Gedrick becomes caught in a struggle older than he can understand. Elves, dwarves, and orcs are moving toward the same mystery—and beneath the roots, the sixth is waiting. The Sixth Beneath the Roots is the first volume in the AURORIN series: an emotional, character-driven portal fantasy filled with ancient forests, forgotten languages, unexpected friendship, quiet humor, and the courage of an ordinary man who never learned how to walk past someone in need. Two worlds searching for what they have lost. And a name the forest has not forgotten.
